APC Mega Rally: Akume Supporters Caught In Lafia Road Accident

On their way to the North Central mega rally in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa state, two busses carrying supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State who were loyal to Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, were involved in a traffic accident.

According to an eyewitness account, the accident occurred on Saturday morning in Lafia town, close to Government House Junction.

Dan-Morgan Ihomun, the spokesperson for Akume’s APC camp in Benue State, confirmed the incident but stated that no one was killed. He also mentioned that some of the injured supporters were taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to Ihomun, “Yes, two vehicles conveying supporters of our party APC on their way to the venue of North Central mega rally today in Lafia involved in accident. Some were injured and taken to hospital for treatment. Nobody died and we thank God for that.”
