Adeleke Officially Hands Over Certificate Of Return To Tinubu At Presidential Villa
Following his re-election for a second term, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke gave President Bola Ahmed Tinubu his Certificate of Return on Thursday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Around 5:20 p.m., Adeleke arrived at the State House and went to the President’s office for a private meeting.
The presentation came shortly after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) issued the Certificate of Return to Adeleke, who secured 511,067 votes in the August 15 governorship election.
With 444,815 votes, Bola Oyebamiji, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, was defeated by him.
Tinubu and Adeleke met at the Presidential Villa for the first time since the governor’s reelection.
