Adelabu’s Sister Kidnappers Still Silent; Family Awaits Contact, Says Aide
According to Comrade Femi Awogboro, an assistant to Chief Adebayo Adelabu, the 2027 All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for governor of Oyo State and the immediate former Minister of Power, the gunmen who kidnapped the former Minister sister and her twin sons yesterday in Ibadan have not yet contacted the family.
He said that the family has not heard anything from the kidnappers and that security agencies are making every effort to guarantee the victims’ release in relation to yesterday’s incident.
Remember that Adelabu’s family confirmed yesterday (Wednesday) that his younger sister, Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John-Paul, and her twin sons, Paul and Peter, had been abducted?
He said, “We are still searching, security agencies are still on it and they have promised safe return of the victims.”
“Since yesterday, the family is unsettle, the victim husband, who is not in Nigeria is not happy at all, but he said he believe that security agencies in Nigeria are capable of securing release of his wife and children.”
This ordeal is becoming too much for us to bear. Kidnappers seem to be everywhere, and the fear is overwhelming. We are scared and uncertain about what the future holds. The poor are already under constant threat, and it feels like even the rich are not safe. We desperately need a change—an end to this violence and a hope for a safer, more secure society for everyone.
